CURRICULUM AND ACADEMICS SUPPORT

We guarantee classroom settings geared for optimal performance by ensuring a smaller classroom ratio.  Never more than 15 scholars to 1 teacher in a classroom.
COMMON CORE CURRICULUM
"Education is derived from the root word 'Educo', which is latin for "Draw from within".  True education is when we learn about ourselves."
The Academy of Kings utilizes accredited curriculum to ensure that our scholars can endure the rigor demanded to be successful in education, and life beyond secondary school. Not only do we cover the basic 24 credit standards, but we go a step further in requiring that each scholar complete a leadership profile during his time of enrollment.

The following courses, organized by subject area
26 Credit Standard Diploma Requirements
AOK was founded on Christian principles, which will always be instilled in our teaching.  While we do not outwardly express ourselves as a Christian school, we were birthed and established on these foundations, therefore we will always encourage our scholars to grow in their faith.

One year of Bible is required for each year a scholar attends Academy of Kings Preparatory School. A scholar who fails Bible, may not be accepted the following year.  Scholars also attend Chapel on a weekly basis.

MAP Assessments & Quarterly Benchmarks
We have partnered with the Northwest Evaluation Association to provide quarterly testing of our scholars with Measures of Academic Progress, otherwise known as MAP Assessments. MAP is an online assessment that is aligned to the Common Core standards. NWEA is a non-profit organization that has assessed over 4.5 million students. NWEA has a presence in 49 foreign countries, 50 states, and 3400 districts.

While we are firm believers in competency benchmarks, we are opposed to state standardized testing due to the stressful nature it causes for student body and teaching staff alike.  Florida Statewide Assessments are no longer a concern for families that fear their child being left behind, or scholars that tend to struggle with text anxiety.
ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND BUSINESS EDUCATION
"We are dedicated to ensuring our families see a ROI in from their sons in character, as well as currency. "
Learn from Experts
Our parents understand the necessity of having business savvy to be able to compete in today's job market. We have partnered with Young Entrepreneurs Academy to provide a year long entrepreneurship program for high school students that transforms them into confident business leaders.

Upon entering the Business Leadership Pathway and forming an idea, scholars  learn how to run their own real business or social movement. Each individual has the opportunity to expand his knowledge on business, personal finance, networking and much more!
Quality business and leadership are two pillars evident in every thriving economy.  Our commitment to educating, training, and developing youth males in these skills and abilities will ensure future success for our families.  With access to certified professionals and staff, aspiring male leaders have the opportunity to capitalize on a strong community network and quality education.  With this knowledge and understanding we help our future leaders maintain and develop a world they will soon inherit.
